The ultimate&permanent help is by the person himself,like Trush,he should get disability&housing&etc from government&remove burdens from tax payers like u&me.
The most difficult part is to ask the depressed/addicted to beg for help himself,your help is just to remove his excuses for not getting help!
If he refuses to get help then have to dump him onto icy or buggy street to suffer.

Trush has MS for 10 years&has no job&home&car&phone&penny&is rejected by all his families&despaired.
